SDL COURSE SCHEDULE

SDL CLASSES DO NOT HAVE TO BE TAKEN IN ORDER

Students must sign up for SDL courses by paying a $100 deposit per course via check or credit card. We suggest calling to sign up as soon as possible, at least two weeks ahead, so classes are not cancelled. They can also fill up so you should secure your spot.

NON-ST. ROSE STUDENTS WANTING TO TAKE SDL

The college has responded that you can do the SDL courses (EDA601 & 602) only after providing the following:

  • official transcripts from all colleges/universities attended
  • show evidence that they possess the permanent NY SAS or SBL professional certificate from an institution other than St. Rose
  • at least 2 letters of recommendation: one from a school administrator, which must attest to the individual’s good character and potential as an administrator; and one from a professional who is qualified to evaluate the applicant’s scholarship

As well as successful completion of the following coursework, competencies or equivalencies:

  1. Curriculum Design
  2. Effective Instructional Practices
  3. Evidence of experience in data-driven decision making
  4. Program design
  5. Supervision
  6. Finance

After all the paperwork is submitted, and if you are admitted, you would need to do at least 2 required courses (you must do these 2 and after review of your transcript may need to do more)

  • EDA 590 Seminar: Critical Issues in Educational Leadership/Administration 3.0 credits

Then you would go on to do 601 and 602. Each course is $1095.
